A beautiful copy, bound by the Bonnier bindery in full cloth with contrasting leather labels to spine, lithographed colour cover bound first. With a few photographs enclosed (one with the printed label of Galerie Louis Carré on verso).
Provenance: Swedish art historian Hans Eklund (1921-2018).
Exhibition catalogue of Leger's paintings prior to 1940. Written by Bazaine in 1942 during the German occupation but published in connection with the Léger exhibition at Galerie Louis Carré shortly after the Liberation in 1945.
