Rudolf Füssli (the youngest, Zürich 1737-1806 Vienna) was brother of Johann Heinrich Füssli (Henry Fuseli). The title of this work in English translation: ”Hans Rudolph Füsslin’s critical list of the best engravings available from the most famous painters of all schools. For art lovers who want to acquire a clear understanding of the artistic character specific to each classical painter through a small but select collection of engravings. Füssli was a Swiss administrator, painter, etcher and court draughtsman in Vienna. His knowledge of art led to his appointment in 1800 to set up and direct the Kupferstichkabinett and library of the Akademie der bildenden Kunste.
